The science of powder coating
Standard liquid paint chips quickly under the repeated friction of knurled barbells. Powder coating consists of applying an electrostatic powder before baking in an oven at 200 degrees. This process chemically fuses the polymer with the steel, forming a durable protective barrier against rust.
