Footing Stability and Force Absorption
A proper lifting platform serves two purposes: providing a rigid floor for driving power and cushioning the impact of weight plates. Training on foam that is too soft disrupts balance and absorbs part of the force generated during heavy lifts.
The Combination of Ash Wood and Rubber
Solid ash wood forms the core of the platform. Its dense grain delivers a firm, solid footing underfoot. Around the perimeter, 30 mm dense vulcanized rubber tiles absorb kinetic energy when the barbell drops.
- Central area: fine-sanded ash wood deck for dependable grip under your soles.
- Drop zones: high-density vulcanized rubber, waterproof and resistant to compression.
- Frame: powder-coated steel profiles that lock the assembly together without anchoring into the floor.
Installation Tips
Avoid interlocking foam mats that compress after a few weeks of use. A structure pairing solid wood with dense rubber stays firmly in place through its own weight, requiring no permanent adhesive.
